Grandpa Birche, a forest gnome, is getting a little older, but try and tell him that. His rowdy, chaotic disposition and indifference in the face of danger often get him into trouble and worry those close to him. When it’s time to lead his grandson, Oakley, through his right-of-passage voyage to the Ancestral Tree, he’s overjoyed to show him the ropes. Oakley on the other hand… is terrified.
